week 9 !!!

During todays lesson we started to look at other examples of blogs that have banners on them, this was so that we could gain some inspiration from these to influence our design of our banner.
Then in class we created our own banner, this is my banner the uv rave fades in first then the place and then the time, they then fade back out leaving the date on last so that it sticks in your head.I decided to include a date in my event so that people don't make plans as i feel if i don't include a date people may not turn up.

Above is my banner in photo shop in which i have created.I found this really easy to create alot easier than the other programmes and i am really pleased with my outcome as it isn't to complicated nor to simple.

Handwritten text

In todays lesson we were looking at examples of flash websites in which they were based with handwritten texts. We completed a task in which we used animation within photoshop to create simplistic designs.I personally didn't realise that this was possible on photoshop and it seems really easy to do which will come in handy in the future. You can add a variety of effects to pictures or create your own which i found really engaging as it can make the animations more personal.

The details

As this event is going to be huge i need to establish how it is all going to come together, for example music speakers, and if there are going to be lights etc as this is vital in ensuring the event is successful.

Lights

I want my event to be spectacular on the ground yet look amazing from the air for example from a helicopter. From space we view the world and its a moss pit of lights glowing within the darkness and i want my event to be full of colour so it is interesting to view.

This is my banner that identifies the event.I havn't described the event in the banner as i want people to find out what it is about themselves, almost like being engaged in it before its even started.I used bright lights to capture peoples attention and this relates to my event capturing attention from afar.I think the best bit of my event is admiring it from afar as people who dont know what the event is about will see glowing lights and wonder what it is.

My Design !

When creating my flash website i need to ensure that it is suitable for all computers and that i don't make it difficult for the user to use.Computers vary especially within firefox internet explorer and safari, not everyone uses the same technology it may be and older version etc.
I also need to ensure that my website can be viewed on a mobile phone so that it can be accessed easily.I want people to view my website and come back again i dont want them to be put off by the style and design.I also need to ensure that everything is working efficently and that there are no mistakes as this will not look professsional and be bad design.

week 7 !

=In todays lesson we were looking at examples of websites in which we could gain inspiration from.

We looked at Jakob Nielsens website. His website is very bland and simplistic yet it is the information that is important not the way in which it is portrayed.Personally to me it reminded me of a rectro website that dates back to the beginning of the internet.Very un modernistic and not up to todays standard in society.

http://www.useit.com/

We also looked at another website in which used more up to date technology to create it.

http://www.futurefarmers.com/

This website was visually more interesting to look at as there were moveable objects and intereaction with the viewer. However the visual colours used are not really eye capturing in my personally opinion i would not feel engaged to look at it.

In todays lesson we used a template from the internet to create a website on dremweaver.I am finding this incredibly hard to do as i am not familiar with this and i have forgotton what i have learnt in previous lessons.I started to create the desin (below) using bright colours so that people are attracted to it.I found it really hard to establish the layouts and move objects as its not as simple as photoshop and other adobe programmes.

Target Audience

For my event to be successful i need to consider my target audience and what kind of people are likely to attend my event.Obviously the event is quite new and modern so older people such as 50+ will not be interested in my event.I want an audience who like to 'party' so a younger audience is maybe more acceptable.People from the age group 18 - 30.However not all people in that specific age group are the same so i need to find a specific type of person to suit my event.

week 6!

During todays lesson we developed all of our skills that we previously learnt in the other three lessons and combined them to make a short animation with buttons that directed you back to a specific area of the animation.Fro example intro, menu and credits. We did this using 30 frames with the intro being up to frame 19 and the menu in the middle and the credits on the last frame being 30.I found this easy in certain aspects yet hard in the way in which you had to enter the codes,as this became very tricky if you made a simple error.

The images above so different stages of my animation the credits page the menu page and the buttons on an individual page.I found this a really fun lesson as i enjoyed learning all the new skills.
